AMG News publishes corrections when our reporting contains an error of fact. We correct errors openly, promptly, and visibly. A correction is not the same as an opinion disagreement.
What counts as an error
An error of fact is a statement that is verifiably wrong: a wrong name, wrong number, wrong date, wrong place, wrong quote, or wrong causal claim. Errors of fact are corrected. Differences of interpretation, framing, and emphasis are not.
How to report an error
Email corrections@amgnews.net with the article URL and a clear description of the issue. Include the source of the correct information where possible.
How we handle corrections
- Significant factual errors are corrected at the top of the article with a dated note explaining what changed.
- Typographical errors and minor inaccuracies are corrected silently in the text; a dated note is added when appropriate.
- If an article is found to be substantially wrong, it is corrected and, where necessary, retracted with a clear explanation.
What we do not do
We do not delete corrected articles to hide mistakes. Corrections remain visible in the article history, and the original article URL is preserved.
