AMG News accepts pitches from freelance writers, analysts, and subject-matter experts. We pay for published work.
What we’re looking for
- Original reporting on a story, company, technology, or trend within our coverage areas.
- Analysis and explainers on issues our audience needs to understand.
- First-person or field reporting from a relevant jurisdiction.
- Clearly labelled opinion pieces from writers with relevant expertise or experience.
What we don’t publish
- Generic content marketing written for SEO and lightly edited.
- Pieces that are not fact-checked or that rely on unattributed claims.
- Material that promotes misinformation, conspiracy, or unverified health/financial claims.
- Plagiarised or AI-generated content presented as original work.
How to pitch
Email pitch@amgnews.net with:
- A one-paragraph pitch: what is the story, why now, why is it under-reported, why are you the right person to write it.
- Two or three links to your best published work.
- Your standard rates for the equivalent piece (we do not ask for free pitches).
How we work
If we accept a pitch, we will agree an angle, deadline, and fee up front. You will work with an editor who will request clarifications, fact-checks, and revisions. Payment is made on publication, not on submission.
Standards
All published work must meet our Editorial Policy and Fact-Checking Policy. We will run a copy edit, a fact-check, and a legal review where appropriate.
