Editorial Standards
Editorial Standards
AMGNews is committed to journalism that is accurate, independent, and fair. These standards govern every piece of content we publish, from breaking news to long-form features.
Accuracy and Fact-Checking
Every factual claim in a published article must be verifiable. Our editorial team reviews all stories before publication, checking names, dates, statistics, quotes, and attributions against primary sources wherever possible. When primary documentation is unavailable, we clearly state the limitations of our sourcing.
Sourcing
We name our sources wherever ethically and legally possible. Anonymous sourcing is used only when the information is newsworthy, the source has direct knowledge, and their identity must be protected for safety or professional reasons. The specific reason for anonymity is disclosed in the article.
Independence
AMGNews maintains a strict separation between editorial content and commercial interests. Advertising, sponsored content, and partnerships have no influence on our news coverage. Sponsored material is clearly labeled.
Fairness and Impartiality
We seek to represent all relevant perspectives in our reporting. When reporting on disputes, allegations, or controversies, we provide those named with a fair opportunity to respond. We distinguish clearly between news reporting, analysis, and opinion.
Corrections Policy
Errors are corrected promptly and visibly. Substantive corrections are noted at the top or bottom of the article with a timestamp and description of the change. We do not silently update published content in ways that would mislead readers about the original record.
Updates
Developing stories are updated as new information becomes available. Each update is timestamped within the article. Once a story is no longer developing, significant updates are noted in the corrections section.
AI and Content Policy
AMGNews does not publish fully AI-generated articles presented as human reporting. We may use AI-assisted tools for transcription, translation, data analysis, and editorial research support, but all published text is written and reviewed by our editorial team. When AI tools are used in the production of a story in a substantive way, this is disclosed.
Images published by AMGNews are either licensed, commissioned, sourced from verified wire and agency partners, or created by our team. We do not publish AI-generated images presented as real-world photography.
Transparency
Our editorial team is identified on each article. We disclose conflicts of interest, funding sources, and any relationships that could affect our coverage. We welcome reader feedback and treat complaints about our journalism as a serious part of our editorial process.
Accountability
AMGNews is owned and operated by its editorial team. We are accountable to our readers, not to any political, commercial, or ideological interest. If you believe we have fallen short of these standards, please contact us at corrections@amgnews.net.
